Victoria is an attorney, born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. Victoria attended ‘Iolani School and graduated from Punahou School. She went on to Stanford University as a student athlete where she majored in biology while competing in cross country and track. She graduated with a B.S. in the biological sciences. After returning to Hawaii, Victoria completed her graduate studies and earned a J.D. from the University of Hawaii's William S. Richardson School of Law.
Victoria was a deputy prosecuting attorney with the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney in Honolulu for over thirteen years. As a prosecutor, she handled cases ranging from petty misdemeanor traffic cases through felony cases. Victoria has always been interested in international law and property law. After leaving the prosecutor's office, she joined Chee Markham & Kato and is exploring civil law. She has plans to earn immigration law certificates to further broaden her practice.
Through her work as an attorney, Victoria has experience interviewing children. She participates in local and national trainings to keep current on the newest interviewing techniques. Victoria also has experience assisting law school students in trial practice courses. It is her work with children that inspired her to create her own tutoring company. It was her work as a prosecutor which continues to motivate her to volunteer with non-profit organizations with the goal of making our community safer. She is on the board of directors for Crime Stoppers Honolulu and works on fundraising and Animal Crime Stoppers programs.
Victoria has two young children who keep her quite busy. In her free time, she still enjoys running and swimming. She keeps up her Japanese conversation skills by taking classes and Zooming with friends in Japan. She is also an assistant high school cross country and track coach.
