Cherise Braxton-Brooks received her undergraduate degree from Tennessee State University. As a military spouse she traveled around the world with her husband who is an active duty Tech-Sgt. in the U.S. Air Force and their two children. The family settled in 2013, in Mililani, Hawai`i. Cherise obtained her law degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law where she was involved in the Student Body Government, Hawai`i Women Lawyers Student Representatives, the Ulu Lehua Scholars, and Students with Keiki. She completed externships with the City and County of Honolulu Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and the Honorable Judge Catherine H. Remigio of the Hawai`i Circuit Court
Cherise is licensed to practice law in the State of Hawai‘i and the United States District Court of the District of Hawai‘i. She is a member of the Hawai‘i State Bar Association.
