Laura E. Chipchase is an Associate Attorney at the Honolulu law firm Chee Markham & Feldman, where she practices in the areas of civil litigation with a focus on business and commercial law and insurance defense.

A 1999 graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a Bachelor of Arts with High Honors in Political Science, Ms. Chipchase went on to earn her Juris Doctor law degree in 2002 from the University of Hawaii, Richardson School of Law. As an undergraduate, Ms. Chipchase was Vice-President of the Pre-Law Society and a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Honors Program. She also received the Carl F. Knobloch Award and the Richard and Mildred Kosaki Award. While in law school, Ms. Chipchase served as Technical Editor to the Publication Board of the Law Review and published a Casenote on Rotella v. Wood. She also earned the Medal of Excellence Award from the American Bankruptcy Institute and received several CALI awards recognizing her attainment of the highest grade in class in Business Reorganization in Bankruptcy, Law and Society in Japan, and Intellectual Property. Ms. Chipchase served as Secretary to the Student Bar Association as well as Second Year Class Representative.

Prior to joining Chee & Markham in 2005, Ms. Chipchase served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Elizabeth E. Higo of the Circuit Court of the First Judicial Circuit.
