As an Associate Attorney at Chee Markham & Feldman in Honolulu, Hawaii, Devon Ishii Peterson has aided the firm's real estate, construction, and business and commercial law practice through court appearances, legal research and writing, and preparing all manner of legal correspondence and memoranda, including motions and complaints, and conducting discovery.
Devon Ishii Peterson earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1997, maintaining a 4.00 GPA in English and a 3.9 in Political Science, while participating to Phi Beta Kappa and the University of Hawaii Honors Program. In 2002, Ms. Peterson graduated Cum Laude in the top quartile of her class from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, William S. Richardson School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Peterson received the Lawrence H. Kono Memorial Award and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award. She contributed to the University of Hawaii Law Review and the Asian-Pacific Law and Policy Journal.
Ms. Peterson is a former Legislative Aide in the Hawaii State Senate. She has also served in the Honolulu City and County Prosecutors Office and in the United States Probation Office for the District of Hawaii.
